toy hauler hitch weight vs wdh hitch capacity
I recently bought a brand new toy hauler 2017 powerlite 29fbxl. My truck is 2015 Ram 2500 longbed tradesman CTD.
toy hauler dry wt is about almost 8,000 lbs
my Reese wdh is rated at 12,000 lbs w/c is ok.
but the hitch weight of the trailer is about 1,384 lbs and the hitch capacity of my wdh is 1,200 lbs.
my wdh has served me for many years when i was towing 7,700 old 1997 salem TT.
Question is, do i really need to replace my wdh to a new and bigger one?
i know it's silly question but i have to ask the experts here and get this off my chest.
Thanks and happy camping
