Toy Hauler instead of TT (to carry 16' boat)
We currently have a truck camper, but wife has decided she likes to go to the coast. Given that the weather can be less than ideal and that there might be indoor time, we're thinking a travel trailer ...

You'll may want an open (non garage) hauler, finding a garage with up to 17' is going to be a bit of a challenge. Off the top of my head I can't think of any. You can check out the The Complete List of Toy Haulers
We've had other members put a small boat in the hauler, used a winch to load/unload. As I recall one beefed up the front wheel jack, with one that had two wheels and could better handle the stress.
