Only you can juggle your needs and make your own decision. Our first was a TT and the second was a TH because we got into desert off road camping with atvs and finally a utv. On a trip with two dogs to Yellowstone I would not buy another travel trailer. We put down the accessory carpet and the "wall" to hide the ramp that negated the toy hauler image. The dogs had plenty of room for their beds, food & water bowls. We had large folding table for "stuff" a person can't find space to store including a cooler, trash can, lawn chairs, etc. If camped at a place with a spectacular view the ramp can be dropped for a wide open outdoor feeling. We agreed that if we had no dogs nor toys, we'd still favor a toy hauler for travel.
I believe the THs are designed for a distributed weight with toys in the back so without them the tongue may be a bit heavy but a WD hitch should take care of that . IMO.. With our F-350 it wasn't an issue.. Have fun with your choice.. :)
