Half ton and toy hauler don't usually go well together. I owned a 2013 ram 1500 and learned the hard way when i wanted to buy a travel trailer. Door jam sticker read 1061 lbs! Sold it and ordered a 3500 srw ans have sticker of 4075lbs and now ordering a fifth wheel toy hauler so it worked out....but payload will get u on a lot of half tons. Although ford does have some really impressive payload ratings in some of their half tons...but at that point why not get a 3/4 ton and the bigger brakes, lt tires, tranny etc.
