My niece and her DH were on a 2 lane road with their Everest and F350 CC DRW when a small vibration developed. Before they could figure it out the left front tire on the TV blew big time. They barely managed to maintain control and were all over the whole road. Luckily there was no traffic on the road or it would have been much worse. DH is a big construction worker and he was amazed at how fast it happened and how hard it was to "control" the TV.
The dollars spent on TV body damage would have easily paid for a really nice TPM system, and that system would have set off an alarm to let them know they had a hot tire but only if they had sensors on the front tires.
