Trailer Aid?

I made my own out of 2x10s and 1/2" plywood. Rolled my trailer up it and cut off the excess height.

Just to update my post. Yes it did work. I cut a 2"x board and attached it to the bottom of the trailer aid. I haven't need it myself but while traveling with friends, they had a flat on their travel trailer and we used my Trailer Aid. It worked great.

I bought one and it would not lift the wheel off the ground so I sent it back for a refund. I then noticed they sold one called "Trailer Aid Plus" which is one inch taller so I ordered IT. And it also does not lift the wheel. I was just about to send this one back as well but after reading the replies I may try placing a board under it and try that.

I used mine to help another camper change his flat. Worked great.

I now have the 6 point leveling system and don't need it.

I have one and I have used it, worked great. However when I had a tire problem last weekend I didn't have it with me. I took 10 Linx blocks and put my pals 12 ton jack on top and lifted on the frame just like the axle maker says to do it. Changing the tire was quite easy with the right equipment.

I keep a rolling floor jack in the trailer at all times. I like the height it goes and the big lifting surface. I just roll it under the rhino/quad when traveling. it gets to the high frame no problem though I generally use the axle and a block of wood to get one tire up.

IMHO try it before you buy it. Tried it on last TT and it would not lift front tire clear when used on rear tire. HOWEVER, Lynx Leveler Blocks work great!

My Trailer Aid also did not work on my Weekend Warrior without adding blocks or boards under it first. On my current Interstate trailer, it works as designed so you have to look at how much suspension travel you have or how heavily you are loaded to see if this is an easier method compared than jacking it up. I like the hybrid method of driving up on a ramp and jacking up the axle on the flattened tire if it doesn't clear.

I would also raise the tongue jack to where the tow vehicle was at unloaded height which would give me a little more clearance on the front axle or drop the WDH bars so the rear axle would get a little more height.

Not to mention how far you'll have to jack it to get a tire off the ground. Jacking under the suspension mounts works for me.

I've got a triple axle and I can't imagine trying to jack the frame high enough to change the middle tire.

I use my Lynx blocks on the two tires that are not flat and a jack to lift the last tire clear of the ground. Need a combination of clearance under the wheel well (lift entire trailer) and countering the articulation in the suspension. I'm not a big fan of carrying one trick ponies in my storage, using the Lynx blocks I already carry for leveling the trailer seemed the best way to resolve the problem. I have successfully used both the jack from the truck and a small floor jack I carry when I know I am changing tires on the RZR. There isn't much load on the jack with the trailer lifted and I place it directly under the existing suspension mount to ensure I don't bend anything. I also leave the trailer hooked to my truck and install all normal wheel chocks on the side not impacted to ensure it's not going anywhere.

I've got it down to less than 30 minutes from the "OH S..." to resuming my drive.
