They call em 1500 or something like that now a days and they are a far cry from the 1964 half ton chev with three on the tree that I once owned.

We do and for about 85% of 1/2 ton/150/1500 they just don't have the strength to carry much of a 5th wheel!
I will say being a bit over with a 5er is likely safer than pulling a 32'+ TT with the same TV. That said the 5th wheel refered to in thread is too much for any 1/2 ton/150/1500.
