Trailer Saver BD 3

First of all I love this hitch! We used to get slammed so hard I thought the rear axle was going to break, lol. The problem is and always has been for five years now it throws grease all over the bottom of the 5er behind the king pin. Probably my fault putting in to much grease. I'm thinking about making a couple of shields out of sheet metal mounted up and down along the inside edge of the hitch to 'catch' the grease when its thrown. What do you guys think? Anybody else have this problem?
  • You bet ReneeG! I posted this in another forum and was told not to put grease on the hitch king pin plate, use the nylon plate instead! I'm still laughing about that! I told all three of them that I'm not from the stone age, lol
  • We had ours for 5 years before moving to a TS3 and did not have an issue with grease being thrown around. Definitely try a little bit less grease.
  • Same here as others have stated - no grease thrown out by mine either, it doesnt need much on the pins to lube them up.
