Transfering Hitch

Not sure where to post this... Have a 99 F350 crew cab with a 18,000 lb Draw-Tight 5th wheel hitch. Looking at a 2016 F350 with the 5th wheel package. Will the pre drilled holes in the new truck bed line up with the draw-tight rails? Are those holes only for a hitch from Ford? Man, talk about stick price shock... Thanks for any responses..

I would contact Drawtite folks on their 1-800 number as they will know what you have and what you need....
    This from their web

  • You can also get an adapter to fit the pucks in the new truck then you can attach your old hitch to it.

If your truck has the 5er puck prep sell your existing hitch and get the B&W Ford puck hitch, you WILL thank me!

This ^^^^ B&W 3300 for OEM Ford pucks. About $950 free shipping.

No your current hitch rails will not fit the Ford puck system.

  • If I was a bettin' man, I'd say no. If you have the factory 5th wheel pkg, that's set up for the "puck" type hitch so your current one probly won't work. Others w/ more experience w/ this should chime in. My truck didn't have the 5th wheel pkg, so had to mount the rails to frame and drill holes up thru box.
