Travel and Winter roads on I84 Idaho, Oregon, Washington
I am moving from Salt Lake City to Seattle. Has anyone travelled I84 in January? What are the roads like? Anything to watch out for? Newbie, here.

- The best advice I can give, as a long-time resident of those parts, is watch the weather forecasts carefully, and make use of the DOT's webcams. Things can get real bad real quick.
The worst of 84 will be just south of Pendleton OR. The descent from Emigrant Pass (aka Deadman pass) will be pretty hairy.
