We have found over the years that we always average 50mph when towing. At the 62mph we travel at on the freeways, that means about 300 miles each day for a 6 hour day.
We are usually on the road by 9:00am and off around 3:00. This gets us to a campground at a reasonable time to allow getting a good site, some sightseeing, and relaxing after the days drive. It also allows some time for emergencies, slowdowns, potty breaks, etc. along the way.
