If heading to Myrtle from Wythville there is no reason to go towards Charlotte you go from 77 to 52 south through Winston Salem and then hit I74 towards state rt 38 which takes you to highway 501 which will take you straight into Myrtle depending on which campground you are going to you may want to cut off 501 and hit 544 which takes you to south myrtle straight into Ocean Lakes Campground area. Lakewood is a second from the intersection also and the state park is another minute up the road from there.
