When two of the four Maxxis I bought near the end of 2011 failed, both curbside (where there is more debris) I suspected road hazards.
By May 2013 the two on the other side had also failed. Wasn't a bad lot as each tire had a different (and recent) date of manufacture; none were underinflated or overloaded; 8000 miles towed since May with no further failures. I wondered if those four tires had somehow been mistreated in the warehouse.
