Possible damage to roof trusses/plywood sheeting/AC duct work inside roof area/any wiring etc. and side wall studs/windows being shifted etc.
They will know more when end cap is removed for REPLACEMENT.......and roof membrane is peeled off.
Insurance coverage.......do not sign off/take a check/finalize anything until membrane and end cap removed in case of 'hidden damage' and then ONLY after all repairs have been completed.
