Tripod stabilizer

For those of you who use tripod stabilizers, do you find it makes the inside feel less "shaky" when multiple people are in the camper?

Background on this, 2 weeks ago we were boondocking and had some friends staying on the bunks in the garage area of our 5th wheel toyhauler. When they moved around it shook the trailer pretty well up front where we were in the bedroom. It was 2 people, and neither is a heavy person, and it was just normal walking around, getting in/out of bed etc. We were parked in a dirt field, and have electronic leveling system, no other stabilizers.

I was thinking maybe a tripod might help things be a bit more stable so movements in the back don't rattle around the front so much. But... maybe not. Thoughts?

  • Thanks to you both. We've never noticed it being unstable before, but this was also the first time we had people staying with us in the back. Might be worth a shot since they seem to be pretty inexpensive?
  • I had one and used it for a couple of years.

It did make some improvement in the stability of the trailer. Mostly when we had guests in the living room and we were in the bedroom.

When I quit using it, I didn't miss it.
  • I believe you will get the same responses as always.. the folks that like them, swear by them.. and the others tossed them..

I am part of the toss it group, i had one and used it a few times with not a lot of change or any change.

I gave mine away to someone on here as a gift... Happy Monday gift..

Get a set of JT Strongarms, or similar , that is a better answer...
