Im glad you made it through that experience with no serious injuries as "stuff" can be replaced. My advice is to use Canadian and U.S sources for weather and road conditions plus traffic cameras. Stay at home or pull over if freezing precip or snow is present or forecast on your route. Black ice would challenge even the most seasoned professional driver and I wouldn't want to tackle it with my truck/rv combo EVER! Hope your back on the road with a new setup soon.
