just came back from Havasu on Sunday. wind, rain snow sandstorms then more rain. I slowed down to 38mph, and had people honking. came upon a DRW and trailer on its side. Tehachapi was snowing and closed just as we got through. coming downhill no faster than 25. I think speed is a real issue.
never had a 4x4 but used it and the exhaust brake to get down the hill. was really impressed.
