truck bounces a lot

My ram 2500 bounces a lot with my new toy hauler. Its about 10k 30 footer and I have a centerline towing hitch with the correct weight bars. It was set up for the truck to match the camper at the dealership. This is not my first RV, I had a large 5th wheel and a 30ft travel trailer before but this is the heaviest I have carried on a receiver hitch. The 5th wheel bounced some on bridges too but not as bad. Should I add air bags or heavier shocks. I have premium gas sensatrack shocks mow.

    I run Rancho RS9000x shocks and the last 2 trucks I've owned, and the current truck. Setting them to a higher setting makes a huge reduction in bounciness when towing.

    Careful if your overtightening the bars to compensate for the fact they are to light for your setup. Recommend you invest in a larger hitch rather than trying to make to light of one work in your situatiin

    Totally agree. I had 1500lb bars on my FS3000 with 1400lbs of tongue weight.

    My buddy had 1700lb bars on his FS2600 with 1600lbs of tongue weight.

    Yea I meant 1200. Haven't made it to the scales yet but I don't believe we have loaded it to the 12000lb level on the Gross camper weight. After tightened the bars it tows nicely without the porposing.

    I also have a heavy TT TH. I added adjustable shocks to my truck, but more importantly, bought an Airsafe Class V hitch. Big difference. Look it up via Google. Worth considering. Still has bounce which you will never eliminate, but the hitch made a nice improvement.

    Hate to tell you but you'll never get a big/heavy/long bumper pull toyhauler to tow very nice. Especially if you are coming from a 5er.
