Had that happen to me & I noticed something different quite quickly. There was a sway to the side of the deflated tire. Next stop I noticed that the outer tire was carrying much more load. Turned out that I had a valve failure on the inner tire.
Those with SRW think that having a dually is overrated. Those who have gone from a SRW to dually say they will never go back.
Many do the add ons to compensate for the SRWs. By the time some of them have finished they might as well have bought the DRW to begin with. That is not to say that DRW owners don't tinker also.
I have added Sulastic Shocks, which improve unloaded ride, & finally this year added Timbrens air bags, not really knowing if they would give an improvement to ride or not when loaded with the heavy 5er. They do. They minimise the big jolts & add even more stability in cornering.
