I don't think that the issue is any difference in pulling ability between SRW & DRW. Both will pull just fine.
The difference is in stopping ability. The DRW has double rear rubber on the road & bigger brakes. Even that is a minor difference IMO. The huge difference is the stability that the DRW provides. All the add ons that people put on their SRW cannot compensate for the inherent stability that the extra width of the DRW.
