trying something new....heading to Florida in winter

Well, heading south soon for a vacation...never towed in the snow...hoping it stays that way. I know not to use the exhaust brake and to go easy. I am going to take my air compressor and re-winterize in Atlanta on the way home. We were going to Walmart it, but I figure I want to get a couple hours of sleep each night and stay warm.

  • I have friends just got back they just left them in storage down in charlotte area. THey didn't want to hall them thru the salt and ****.
  • I do the air compressor and the pink stuff. Might do the pink stuff once I get home but then again, maybe not...still up in the air about that. We can always use the bath facilities at the campground and winterize on the last night.
  • Do you have reservations? We buy pink stuff at Walmart and winterize in Alabama on the way home to Midwest. Don't trust the compressed air method.
We flush with pink stuff on the way down prior to sanitizing somewhere in Georgia.
  • I guess I should have said I wont use the exhaust brake on really slippery roads...
  • I use the engine brake all the time when I'm towing, that's the main reason to have it when you are going downhill with that trailer pushing your truck down the hill. On my truck you have to put the truck in tow/haul mode before you can use the engine brake
