while I love my carbon, by keystone, their service is very slow for warranty work....whos to blame...well camping world blamed keystone, I personally blame them both, we had our old trailer for 8 years never lost a window.
I have a Carbon too and generally I'm happy with the RV, but ANY repair is an exercise of more than 30 days. Typically 60+ days between all the back and forth. There is NO nationwide warranty in all practicality because non-selling dealers don't want to service Keystone at the warranty labor rate. So if you're away from home and need a warranty repair, you'll need some luck...
Our major defect was the roof coming up in front due to not being glued properly. Several other Carbons have suffered from this also. Keystone will fix the roof, but doesn't cover "cosmetic" issues if the dealer puts it back together in a manner than looks bad. A bad looking roof affects resale value.
The Carbon is a lower optioned model that comes down the same line as Raptor.
People will point out that Grand Design (Momentum) was started by Keystone execs and that's true, but they're certainly more focused on the reputation of the brand and directly support their customers. I can point to the exact same consumer complaint between Momentum and Keystone brands - the difference is that Momentum fixed it and Keystone told that they're out of luck.

Go with the floorplan you like the best. Under the skin, all trailers are the same - questionable quality.
That's *generally* true, although they're not necessarily framed the same way. Keystone uses OSB (at least on the Carbon) for the roof deck. Grand designs has different trusses and uses plywood. You're certainly right that they're assembled by humans that are paid to do it quickly.
The biggest difference is service after the sale. And we all know that they all have issues. Is the difference in service worth the difference in price? That's a consumer decision..
