Two 2000 watt Honda Generators

I have one 2000 watt generator and am thinking about getting another. My goal is to to be able to run my 15,000 btu AC in my fifth wheel by connecting them together. I like the idea because they are relatively light and easy to move around.

My question is, will they run the AC and tv or a light or two.

Thanks.

  • Downright economical, like $5 a Watt? Why not sell the 2 and buy 1 Onan microlite? Quiet, smooth and economical.
  • Yes, if RV is a 30amp service then the twin hondas will run everything almost like shore power 30amp service (Twin Honda's have about 27 amp capability).

If you have a 50amp service. Then you won't be able to run both AirCons together and becareful with one AC, Micro and elect HW all at the sametime
  • Just in case you may not be aware of it one of the gens must be a companion with a 30 amp plug.
  • Short answer is yes. Worked for me last year but you might or might not be able to run them with eco-throttle on while A/C is starting up.
  • Is your trailer 30A or 50A? 4,000 W > 30A *110 V so you will be able to run everything you can run off of shore power at 30A.
