how often do the pipes and stuff get tore up under the rig while driving ? Is there a way to strengthen the PVC ? What about protecting form freezing ?
In all the years I have used RV's, be it trailer to Class A, I have never had an issue with pipes getting ripped or tore up. Even with blow outs, I was always fortunate not to rupture pipes of any kind. Now if you run over stumps and all that, sure you are going to rip the gozulla out of things
Freezing? Different direction. I have seen people with heat tape wrapped with insulation, to hay around the RV with heatlamp light bulbs shining on most if not all of the exposed pipes. My only experience with frozen pipes was on a class A and the elevated water pipes, in a compartment where behind the fridge froze and burst the special pvc pipes at the time. Now PEX is the standard and less prone to bursting. ABS, which is sewer, heat tape is the idea I have witnessed on more than one instance. Creativity is the key!
