B&W identified a problem and fixed it. I am glad Andersen has as well (hopefully)... I just think they missed a good opportunity to add the bed corrugation fillers with this redesign.

If/when bed deflection occurs on either model, or if/when the frame deforms under pressure (as shown in the link), the problem becomes that the hitch is loose. When a component is loose on any hitch, the probability of experiencing problems increases exponentially. Though it may not seem loose from a visual or physical perspective, the fact is that it becomes out-of-spec on the torque requirements. It would appear that the frame base on "some" of the B & W Companions are less structurally rigid than what the Andersen Ultimate offers. But I don't wish to believe that the failure mentioned on the link above should be used as a reason to dismiss the B & W.
FWIW, I belive that Andersen does offer the corrugated strips on request. But not everyone needs them. I have a flat bed, so they would be of little use to me.
