Use a toy hauler as a TT? No toys to haul.

In addition to hauling toys, I decided on a toy hauler because of the stronger frame, generator, and bigger tanks.

No travel trailer can compare.

I had long known that the Toy Hauler section contained the smartest RVers of all on RV.net, and that statement just confirms that belief. :B

Also, once you get a toyhauler, you'll be surprised at what you find to take RVing you. I bought mine to haul ATVs and dirt bikes, but now I've got a golf cart (I've played two rounds of golf in my life, but I have a golf cart..go figure). Last Fourth of July, I put my big smoker in behind the gold cart, so we could have some good BBQ dring that long week. I'm sure there are other things foks haul back there besides motorcycles and gold carts...oh yeah, my buddy puts an old sofa he has that we use OUTSIDE. That always gets a few comments from the other campers...

Agree with the folks on saying to check tongue weight. Otherwise, go for it. I think some folks in the industry are even starting to refer to toy haulers as utility RVs or something like that because of the increasing popularity of the toy-less owners.

Agreed. My 22' toy hauler was 7500 lbs when empty and dry and typically over 11,000 lbs once I was loaded with toys, gear and fluids. I would suggest a 3/4t truck or larger for any bumper pull TH because of the tongue weight.

That's what I was going to say as well. The axles are farther back on a TH putting more weight on the tongue. I use mine with/without toys all the time.

We do RV about half the time without any toys onboard. Be aware that tongue weight is significantly increased without toys in the rear of TT so hitch must be capable of handling the extra weight. Enjoy your TT TH!!!

Biggest issue will be the extra weight. Weight burns fuel.

Plus side is that we use the TH ramp as a patio. You got to remember where the edges are but it sure is nice sometimes.

When we got TH I was not aware that in a few months my daughter was moving the Florida. It was nice having a covered trailer for that.

I also agree that having the extra water space is really nice, as well as, the fuel station. If you are towing with gas, it means you have extra fuel on board for both the TV and the gensets.

The biggest toy we haul is the gun cart. However it really is an adapted baby stroller and the TH is overkill for that.

We got our Cyclone 4100 King in April. No Toys. Patio is always set up! It makes for a terrific outdoor room. We decided on a TH, because we could use that space as an extra room or for grandkids to sleep when visiting. For us, it seemed to make way more sense than a Bunkhouse FW.
