Décor does a great job when I'm caulking my rig but if I'm only using a little at a time it seems to go bad and hardens up. It's expensive to buy. Is there some way to keep it fresh so that I can us...

After relieving pressure:
Push a golf tee down spout
Screw a 'water proof' wire nut on end of spout
Plastic wrap the end and then secure with tape
'Caulk Saver'........commercial product that pokes down into tube and screws into end of spout
Also saw some 'caulk condoms' in jar at lumberyard checkout counter. Little thicker/heavier than the finger cots found in first aid aisle at drugstore.
