Our rig came with the Dirt Devil central vac and also has the duct pan in the kitchen vinyl/floor area. THAT we like for just sweeping things into the kick pan. Otherwise, we don't use the central system as we prefer to just get out the self contained little dirt devil with the beater bar as opposed to the hose and attachments to the central system. Phillip
