To the OP I would verify that you have the right hitch for your vehicle and if it is correct verify the torque on all of the 3/4 in bolts that attach to the frame. If either are wrong you potentially have an accident waiting to happen.
The "goose" part of the hitch is rated at 33,000lbs but the companion part is only 18,000lbs. The companion while pinned into the goose part is then pulled down tight (40 ft lbs torque) into the bed so it's not just resting on the bed. The OP stated that he is a dealer/installer of the B&W hitches so not a rookie doing it the odd time.
