Voltage...extensive water damage
We bought this new Toy Hauler in August of last year. Went through the usual problems, water leaks in windows, Fridge went out, but, over all not too bad.
When we started using it in may we noticed one week that there was a drip out of the return air vent on the main living area. It came and went then we took the rig on a 4 day trip and it leaked pretty bad. I called in a trouble ticket with Dutchmen early June and had a repair man come out and look at it. He said that the unit was a bad install, some of the rubber roof was not under the gasket, and, one of the lag bolts was not secure.
He installed a new gasket, made sure the roof was tucked under properly, and, tightened it down. This was in mid to late June.
A week ago we noticed it leaking again, had the guy come out, and he advised the roof decking had rotted and is sagging. The entire roof will have to come off, rotten lumber replaced, and, the roof replaced.
We really don not feel like this rig will ever be right, there has been to much water damage and it probably has mold growing in the walls. I want to push for Dutchman to buy this back, has anyone here had any experience with this type of situation?
Man we are disappointed.
