Kinda like when I tried to buy tires for my fiver in NY. The Goodyear store cited a "LAW" that they could not install anything but ST tires on a trailer. When I said, I don't want Chinese tires on my trailer, He said no problem, he'll get Non Chinese ST tires for me. After a call to his warehouse, he came back and said he had no non-Chinese ST tires. I again asked for LT tires, and he refused. Said all he could mount was ST tires.
I went down the road and found a Bridgestone dealer. He also said he could only mount ST tires on a trailer. I told him..."Look! I am going to find someone to mount LT tires on this trailer. And I am going to pay him for it. You want my business or not?" He installed 5 Canadian made Transforce HT Light Truck tires.
