We are looking to get a washer and dryer for our Sandpiper. I have read about both combo and stackable options and think stackable will probably be the best way to go. Just curious what everyone uses, how tall/wide they are, and how they work for you??Also, I have read you have to have sewer connections for the stackable? If so, how would that work? I see where the water connections are, where you would drill for the vent in the wall...but other than that....??

You certainly need sewer connection, water in washer has to go somewhere. Most have drain going into grey tank for shower/sink. we have Kenmore stack, 24" wide to fit thru entry door. It is a 110vac unit, drying is slower than household, but we are retired. If you have a space for W/D the height should be no problem. Would not be without one.Jim

Our 96 Southwind has a combo. We like it and it does a good job. But, you are correct, the stackable is the way to go.

We had the all in one Splendidi 2000 in our present 5er getting the 2000xc in the new 5er DW thinks it works well for us. She had the option of seperate washer and dryer but still went with the combo. As with most things RV there is a learning curve.
