That's exactly what it does but you have to shut off the propane by pushing the button/rocker switch inside your trailer to off. You can use both together for faster recovery but you have to make sure that water is in the tank when you turn the electric on or the element will burn out real fast. On edit, you have to be hooked up to electric or have a gen set big enough to handle the electric element in the tank when you turn it on.
