Water Leak

So we have developed a water leak. Ever since we got to this RV park one thing after another has gone wrong. We had our hot water heater repaired the other day so I was looking under the belly to make sure everything was still good. I noticed a wet spot and it was fresh. So I went and turned the bathroom sink on and looked again. There's a drip coming down from the hole where the pipes feed through. I looked under the kitchen and bathroom sink and its dry. So I'm thinking it has to be coming from behind the shower. How do you get behind the shower to look without tearong it out? I cannot find any access doors or panels.
  • I had the same problem and it turned out to be a broken black tank.

If the water smells that is the probable problem. IMHO
  • If your sure it's a line leak - remove the fridge to get access. The fridge isn't that hard to remove - lots of threads on that subject.
  • ;)Yeah the knobs and faucet have a little panel that will come off. That's what I was afraid of if its a line leaking. Might just cut a bigger hole and let it drip into a bucket lol
  • Just info hopefully it will help. There has to be an access panel to the shower fixtures if they are reached from the back side to be able to unscrew the fittings from the faucet assembly. I have a 2012 x-roads cruiser and the access to my shower fixture are behind a top cabinet door that is to the right as you enter the trailer. My water lines are the pec with the crimped fittings, yours are probably the same. If there is no rear access you should be able to remove knobs and get to the fitting that screws onto the faucet assembly from the front and check for leaks there.
  • It's possible that one of the fitting to the shower faucet needs tightening - anyway to loosen/remove the faucet to check? Leak in the line is always a possibility but might be PIA to fix.
  • Yeah the fridge is behind the shower. Well I'm assuming its not the shower drain because when I ran the bathroom sink it still dripped. Are the sink and shower connected? Also the water was cold so I was thinking a cold water line.
  • Are you sure it's coming from behind the shower vs the shower drain? If it's behind the shower what's on the wall behind the suspect plumbings - frig?
