Water pouring out at fresh tank

I just returned from a trip and was surprised to see water pouring from underneath the rear of my trailer. It was a 90 mile, 2 hour trip. Amazingly, the water started pouring out just as I got home, as in lining up to park it.

It is in the rear near the fresh tank. The other tanks are much further forward. I think I have a low point drain and an overflow tube. I just figured that the cap came off and the water was draining out of the low point drain. It seemed to be fresh water, and I sure did not have that much in my other tanks. So, I tried to replicate it. I put more fresh water into the tank, but it did not flow through. There does not appear to be any stop on what I believe is the low point drain.

Any thoughts on this? Why would water be coming out of this drain sometimes. It could have happened before, but i just happened to see it only this time. The weather was warm, but not near temps that would cause a pressurizing effect. And if it is the fresh drain, why did the water I added afterwards not flow through?

    I agree with Terry; if it had a cap on it, its the fw tank drain.

    Did you run over or hit something on the road? I am wondering if there is a crack somewhere that is opening up when the trailer flexes some.

    IF it is the Low point drain. There should be 2 sisde by side. One with a Red cap, and the other with a White, or Blue. IF there was only one by itself. It is the fresh water drain.

    Was your fresh water pump turned on? My pump started leaking and water ran out the side of the trailer.

    That is the thing that has me puzzled. The overflow drain is an open piece of tubing. The water was flowing from the other tube that has a screwed plastic fitting for a cap. I am pretty sure this is the low point drain.

    And the tank was not full at all. Less than a quarter full. I don't know what else to check.

    Was your fw tank full? Seems like that would be the only way it should be the overflow, unless you hit some wild turbulence on the way home, or it is at a big angle at some point. Hopefully that is the case, though.

    O NO. We just went thru this. Water on the road. the water on the road police will be after you. :R.:B

    However. I agree on the over flow.

    I have seen that on our RV also. I asked the technician and he said it was the overflow drain. Depending on how you are angled, it will flow out. Seems to be holding when we are parked so I am just "going with the flow".
