The drawback on not having a urea tank is requiring the several times the EGR flow to meet emission requirements. And FWIW the new cummins engines DO NOT meet them, cummins is burning epa credits it earned from 07 model year+ that exceeded the 07 requirements.
The DEF (urea) IS on the 2013 Ram Dually, as well as any Cummins equipped 2013 model...so FWIW, the 2013 Ram Cummins DOES have a urea tank (DEF), it was required this year to meet emission requirements. So what part of your statement do I not understand? I never owned a Dodge until 2010 and at that time they only had DEF on their C&C trucks, only DPF on their regular Cummins equipped trucks. Chevy/GM and Ford had the DEF in 10'...now, the 2013 Cummins DOES have urea/DEF....so are you saying the 2013 version of the Cummins does not meet EPA emissions requirements?
