Hadn't heard of that...didn't have it on my 2010 or 2012 and nothing on the 13 either...only get a message if DPF is "full" or close to full and vehicle needs to be ran at highway speed. My 07.5 Chevy had nothing on it either stating that the truck was in "Regeneration", and again, it wasn't on the 2010 Ram, the 2012 nor the new 13'.
Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. My wife and I, both seen it on the information center. They re-gen when needed. If your not looking, while it's being done, you will never see it. We had the information center set at mpg. info. when it happened.
