Very nice! Given all the issues people have with new if you can find the right used unit you can save thousands of dollars that can go into an RV emergency fund to use if something does go wrong. As you mentioned, being patient and willing to make some compromise are keys.
The same applies to buying a tow vehicle. My wife wanted to upgrade our TT from a unit that was 23', 4,700 lbs to 32.5', 8,800 lbs. I knew there was no way we were going to pull the new TT with our current 1/2 ton truck so we were in the hunt for a new TV. Of course new is nice but the prices were WAY OVER what I wanted to spend with less than two years away from retirement so we compromised on a used, regular cab 3/4 ton truck. It has no bells or whistles but it will tow her new 8,800 lbs toy and that's all she cares about, especially since she spends 90% of the travel time sleeping :).
