The RV queen is usually 75", so just a bit shorter than the standard 80" queen. We just buy regular sized queen bedding and it works fine.
I would not buy gap insurance from the seller. If I was concerned about ability to cover the gap in case of a loss, I would discuss my options with my insurance agent when we bought his policy.
All the other junk they try to sell, like everyone else says, not worth it.
