We had a Short Queen in the bedroom of our Cougar 244RLS (just traded it in last wee. We found full size sheets fit well on it. To make it longer, we pulled the bed out a few inches and put pillows between the mattress and the wall.
As for the special coating, GAP insurance, etc. Not worth it.
