I would not do it. For me it is not enough truck not enough engine, not enough anything to tow a 5th w. But that is just me

Anything is possible but I picture you arriving behind a tow truck.

I think your F350 would be a better choice. If you insist on the 1500, with the good, but old, tired V6, it could be done. I would not use the gooseneck adapter on a 16 FW. If looking to save weight, an Andersen hitch would be a better choice.

If that is an Indiana owned truck, I wouldn't do it. The truck is probably so rusted from Indiana salty winter roads, you are taking a big risk pulling anything. You are likely to rip the truck apart at the frame.

Look at the frame very carefully! After 28 years of Indiana Salt, there probably isn't much frame left to anchor a hitch to.
