May not be Greenhorn, but do not throw your battery disconnect after you hook up and take off. Just last weekend, my neighbor, as I watched, threw his battery disconnect before he took off. I wondered over and asked him why he did that as I am always curiuos on new ideas. He said, well, he was concerned about a wire being cut by vibration and shorting out causing a fire. I then asked him what his "break away brake" was going to do with no juice. He looked at me and then went back and reconnected his battery. He thanked me and said he had not thought of that!
