What Brand of 5er?

I'm actually living in my WW. Just got into the lineman apprenticeship and I have to go where they tell me. Just tired of some things with my toy hauler and would like a little more comfort.

We have a Fox Mountain also. 28'. Bought it in April of this year. Have over 4000 miles on it and close to 50 nights. Some minor issues one of which was covered under warranty. I don't think you can go wrong with anything from Northwood Mfg. In house built chassis is a definite plus. They are heavy though so once you get into the Arctic Fox line you really need a 1 ton.

We really enjoy our new Winnebago Lite Five. It is a somewhat lighter weight 5'th but is far better constructed and has many of the features found only on higher end trailers. Such as gel coat exterior rather than laminated, arched ceilings etc. Cabinets and drawers feel much sturdier than other trailers we looked at.

Some of the trailers we looked at in the same price ranger were Jayco's and Cruisers. Both were much poorer quality built in my opinion. Drawer slide mounts were cheap plastic rather than metal for instance. Fit and finish was not as good as the Winnebago.

If money wasn't a problem I would have opted for an Arctic Fox. But they are costly and a bit heavy for our TV. The Winnebago was a compromise while still getting much of what the higher ends have.

We have a 2013 Montana Mountaineer 285rld. Its great.

That is pretty much our story. Arctic Fox isn't entry level, but it is a great quality camper for the price.

Northwood is a known quantity and true four season RV. We have a Fox Mountain 265RLS that we have been living in (in an RV park) since May and will be there until December. Only one slide-out, but completely adequate for two people and a dog! Would we like a little more room? Yes, but everything is a compromise, including price, quality, and ease of towing. We are quite happy with our choice.

You may want to look at Grand Design . They have just come out with the Reflection line of 5th wheels. Appears to be very good quality. Good luck with your search.

We just purchased a Columbus 340RK two weeks ago. We are continuously impressed with the quality. The fit and finish in it is tremendous and it is very comfortable.

So far we really like our Flagstaff.....with the diamond package which is a must for us....got the 26 ft which has a ton of room for two people...we have stayed in the trailer 212 days in last 15 mo....including a winter in Fla....
