What brand washer/dryer will fit?

Hi all,

I know this question is not specific to a trailer and can apply to a class A as well...what brand w/d will fit most applications?

The previous owner of the 5th wheel trailer we have now had a stack unit in it (can't remember the brand) but wanted to keep the units so he removed them prior to selling the trailer.

We have a splendide w/d one pc. combo unit I installed but now it is beginning to worry me with problems. I am going to start looking for a replacement unit but didn't want to be restricted to one brand.

I think we want to stay with the one pc. combo (prefer to purchase a used one because I know alot of people rarely use them) so we gain the extra space but still have the ability to do laundry. Who makes the one pc. units beside Splendide?

Thanks

  • We bought the Dometic combo w/d from rvpartscountry.com new for less than $700 with free shipping. Had to remove handrails and bedroom door to get it into bedroom closet in our 2014 Keystone Alpine 3500 RE. Works as advertised but have to use special laundry soap. They claim it uses 12 gals of water per load and is ventless (no hole thru wall).
  • The benefit of the stack units is that you can wash and dry at the same time. They are larger capacity too. We have Splendide stackables and they work very well. Keep in mind that the dryer is 120 V and will take longer to dry that a typical residential model. Whether you use a combo or get stackables, you will find them to be a welcome addition to your RV. I really, really, really dislike using laundry mats.
  • Combos? Splendid fits just fine. And if you have a vented combo wont have any issues. Asnfar as other brands. Any of the apartment size should also fit.
