I don't have the problem, but if it were me I would cut it into two shorter sections, UNLESS you always need the length. Where I camp I can usualy get away with 10ft or so, YMMV.....
Also, I would be concerned about a reel unless you spool out the entire length regardless of need. I once helped to extinguish a fire in a 15amp extension cord reel in my buddy's grandfather's garage...... a little thing called induction happens with a coiled wire......
