I've always followed the theory that any block with a low friction surface contributes to the trailer moving around, so I plant the landing gear on good ole Terra Firma (or as close as I can get). We have 4-pt. auto-leveling on our current FW that requires blocking on the rear jacks to reach the ground, so for those I use a stack of plastic blocks with a rubber pad bolted to the top. Seems to help keep the rockin' & rollin' to a minimum as we walk around inside.
