Could it have something to do with rear roof ladder?

ok I took some photos with my hand for size reference and used photobucket. hope that helps. I edited them into the original post.

I always use the advanced post form here for my photos... Requires a good public access URL starting HTTP...

Now for some reason I do not see your original photo but now it is a logo of Lunapic link or something like that...

Not going to try to link to it for fear of a virus now...

I have a photo, a bit oversize. It looks like a fold out entry handle, but with the rubber feet, and what appears to be graduations with screw holes. I'd say legs that fasten to something??
