When we got in need a toy hauler mode we attended some shows. We left more than one unit with crooked doors, pipes and wiring dangling in storage bays, and popping fasteners thinking "...they want how much for that?"
We have always had success buying "higher end" rv's in gently used condition. Coleman (of the 80's), Travelaire, Bigfoot, Kustom Koach, Carriage, Snow Bird / Snow River, ...
All were made using common rv industry components (which are easy to fix or get repaired) but the attention to workmanship stands out as they age.
If you are in 5'ver mode take a look at used Carriage trailers pre the sale by the founding family... unless "floor plan" change is not an option.
