Correct. Check EVERYTHING before you even talk about price.
Then, if the price is agreeable and something needs fixed, have that written into the contract (that the dealer will repair/replace whatever is broken) before you sign it.
Also, make sure your truck can handle what you are looking at. Don't take the dealers word for it. If you're not 100% sure, feel free to ask here as we won't steer you wrong.
