You can come to any verbal agreement but do not sign until you are sure everything works or the dealer guaranty's in writing ON THE CONTRACT that the repair will be made before pickup.
If you sign a contract and the fridge does not work then you own it as-is means as-is. You will most likely find that term hidden in the contract somewhere.
If the dealer will not let you check the unit before buying then do not do business with the dealer.
